Artist Statement:

ya’at’eeh (hello) everyone! I am Amanda Bidtah, A traveling photographer who specializes in photographing pets & wildlife. I am a dine & Hopi woman born and raised on the Navajo reservation in Beclabito, NM. I’ve made a living in Littleton, Colorado since 2016 and began my first business in pet care in 2019. in becoming an in home pet care provider i was guided on a new career path into the world of photography. I began taking photos of pets in my care, wildlife, nature, and some landscapes that I crossed during my dog walking travels. when desires to improve my skills began to grow, I decided to pursue a second career as a professional Photographer. i want my work to reflect the majestic character of animals both domestic and wild to help bring attention to fair treatment, animal rights, and to their important role in sustaining life on our planet. Through my images, I hope to do my part in educating future generations on what we can do to help preserve and protect the natural way of life to keep the vitality of the land, plants, and animals.
